The move to New Hamburg has opened a new window of my imagination – I started to do landscape paintings. Suddenly, I see the sky with clarity – the clouds seem more expressive than ever before, changing from moment to moment. I am finally paying much more attention to the environment, being surrounded by fields, with all different shades of green. The smell from the farms is having a great affect to my senses also. I am drawn to this simple but highly organized country life style living here with an absolute delight. This change from living in a big city like Toronto to a small town like New Hamburg has made an impact on my art. I will treasure every moment of it, as well as the friendly people in various communities in this beautiful and historical town.
This art exhibition is on now at The Sugarplum Castle, 90 Peel Street, Unit A, New Hamburg, Ontario.
